Overview

Located in the heart of Bukit Antarabangsa, Hangout Bukit Antarabangsa offers a diverse culinary experience that blends local Malay flavors with Western comfort food. Nestled at Lot 9597, Jalan Wangsa 1, this restaurant is a go-to spot for residents and visitors looking for a casual yet flavorful dining destination.

The menu is a mosaic of well-loved dishes, with highlights such as Nasi Dalca Mamu Tanjong, a rich and aromatic traditional rice dish that captures the essence of Malay homestyle cooking. For those craving a snack or something to share, the Nachos provide a satisfying Western twist, while the Fried Chicken Chop and BBQ & Cheesy Chicken showcase comforting, hearty flavors. Fans of local flavors will appreciate the authentic touches in dishes like Malay Yong Tau Foo, served in both a sweet-spicy black sauce or a lighter clear soup, and the uniquely prepared Sotong Kangkung, which balances seafood and greens beautifully.

Hangout Bukit Antarabangsa's atmosphere suits families and casual groups, though it’s worth noting that seating is somewhat limited, and the open-air setup means you might get wet during rain. This informal space encourages a relaxed vibe, perfect for catching up with friends or enjoying a laid-back meal after exploring the area.

The restaurant caters to various tastes, blending Malay and Western influences that appeal to a broad audience. Customers appreciate the variety — from char kuey teow and satay with memorable peanut sauces to more international dishes like spaghetti with a spicy twist. While some dishes, such as the spicy spaghetti bolognese, might surprise with unexpected heat, the flavors generally come across as well-executed and thoughtfully presented.

Parking can be tricky and the prices lean a bit on the higher side, but many agree the food quality justifies it. Located within easy reach of Ampang Jaya, Hangout Bukit Antarabangsa is a reliable eatery to explore the regional palate fused with familiar comforts. Whether you are a local craving authentic Malay delicacies or a visitor seeking a friendly environment to sample varied flavors, this spot aims to deliver a satisfying and honest dining experience.

My cousin's restaurant is here, Tomatoes Station, featured on Jalan Jalan Cari Makan, a different style from the typical spaghettis and stroganoffs, try it!

Ordered spaghetti bolognese and fried chicken chop. If you have small kids eating with you, better not take the spicy option sebab memang pedas! They didnt warned us about the spiciness. Just tanya "nak pedas ke tak?" It taste a bit like siracha spaghetti i had once at a cafe . It taste good. Presentation is also nice. Its just that, it is nicer to explain a bit about your dish rather than expect customer to know what kind of dish you have. Siapa je expect spaghetti yg pedas2 tu. When all you expect is just a plain ol spaghetti & chicken chop gravy. Ingatkan pedas just add a bit extra chili flakes ke apa.
